ALKEME announced the acquisition of North Point Insurance Agency, a family-owned agency with offices in New York, Vermont and Maine.

The company indicated that this acquisition is part of ALKEME’s ongoing expansion strategy and strengthens its position in the property and casualty insurance market.

Known for its focus on property, casualty and personal insurance, North Point Insurance Agency is also one of the largest insurance providers to the maple sugar industry in the Northeast.

North Point’s expertise in the maple sugar industry and commitment to personal service aligns with ALKEME’s mission to provide comprehensive and specialized insurance solutions, said Curtis Barton (pictured above), CEO of ALKEME.

Barton said the acquisition will expand ALKEME’s geographic presence and enhance its ability to serve niche markets.

Jared Jabot, CEO of NorthPoint, expressed his excitement to join ALKEME, highlighting the opportunity to leverage the brokerage firm’s resources while continuing to serve clients and expand their reach.

Since its founding in 2020, ALKEME has completed over 40 acquisitions and currently operates in over 35 locations across 16 states.

Last month, the company expanded its operations by acquiring San Diego-based Dunhill Marketing & Insurance Services. Founded in 1992, the company specializes in life insurance and pensions targeting high-net-worth individuals, including artists and athletes.

The company is also known for managing very large insurance policies, often exceeding $100 million in face value.

On the personnel front, ALKEME also expanded in July with Scott Salandi joining as its new Senior Vice President and Director of Warranty.

Salandi has more than three decades of insurance experience, including extensive experience in both domestic and international markets. His most recent role included growing a profitable construction insurance portfolio in the Southern California market.
