Ryan Specialty Holdings Inc. has announced key promotions to its wholesale brokerage division, Ryan Turner Specialty (RT Specialty). The company said the leadership changes, effective Oct. 1, signal continued growth.

Edward F. McCormack (pictured), who has been with RT Specialty since its founding in 2010, will serve as CEO. He previously served as president, chief operating officer and general counsel.

Brenda (Ballard) Ostenfeld and Michael T. Van Acker will serve as co-presidents of RT Specialty. Ostenfeld, who currently serves as CEO and President of RT National Property, will retain her current responsibilities while assuming the role of co-president.

With over three decades of experience in the insurance industry, Austinfield serves on the boards of the Wholesale and Specialty Insurance Association and the Insurance Brokers and Agents Council.

Van Acker currently serves as Deputy CEO of RT Specialty, and his career spans from his early days at PwC to joining Ryan Specialty in 2011. His previous roles include Chief Operating Officer of both RT Specialty and Ryan Specialty, as well as Controller of RT Specialty.

The promotions coincide with Ryan Specialty’s broader leadership succession plan, which also goes into effect on October 1. Patrick J. Ryan, Ryan Specialty’s founder, chairman and CEO, will transition to the role of CEO.

Timothy W. Turner, President of Ryan Specialty and Chairman and CEO of RT Specialty, will assume the role of CEO of Ryan Specialty while retaining his role as President of RT Specialty.
