Brazilian reinsurance company Latin Re celebrated its fifth year in operation. Founded in 2019, it is the first company in the country to obtain a Lloyd’s brokerage license.

To celebrate this anniversary, Latin Re hosted an event on August 8 in São Paulo. The gathering attracted more than 500 participants, including insurers, brokers and other industry players from more than 10 countries.

The company said the event was a reflection of the company’s growth and achievements over the past five years.

Latin Re also spoke about its significant expansion since its founding. In 2023, the company announced a 50% growth, thanks to new business deals and an expanded dedicated team to meet customer needs.

The company also expects similar growth in 2024 and continues to invest in skilled employees and advanced technology to enhance data analysis and risk management.

Felipe Aragao, Chief Commercial Officer of Latin Re, said the company is committed to excellence in service and its vision for the future.

He also said that the company’s growth is a result of the dedication of its team and expressed optimism about the next five years.

Maria Eduarda Bomfim, CEO of Latin Re, highlighted the company’s growing international presence and the recognition it has received for its business approach.

“In addition to thanking everyone who believed in and supported our project, we are very proud to see that our business approach at Latin Re is highly appreciated and welcomed wherever we go,” said Bomfim. “We are happy to see our company now establishing its presence in the region with our practical, serious and efficient Brazilian style. We thank you all for your trust in us and we hope that this successful journey will continue for all of us.”
