Specialty insurance products and services distributor Amwins has purchased the general agency interests of Kilpatrick Companies in Texas for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Houston, Kilpatrick specializes in employee and personal benefits. Under the deal, the company will become part of Amwins Connect, which distributes health and supplemental insurance solutions through brokers and consultants across the country.
“Amwins Connect delivers scale, scale and proprietary products to a national public agency and will provide brokers, carriers and their partners in Texas with access to new tools to build businesses,” announced Adam Mathis, president of Amwins Connect.

Amwins Connect capabilities include quotes and proposals as well as onboarding and eligibility. It has a diverse range of insurance offerings across multiple business lines, as well as services specifically developed to support its broker partners.
