Aon appoints a new head of the Global Mediation Centre

Global broker Aon has announced the appointment of Tracey-Lee Coss (pictured above) as Head of its London-based Global Brokerage Center (GBC), effective 1 September 2024.

Koss will report to Joe Beiser, Chief Global Commercial Risk Officer. She succeeds Mark Parker, who will retire soon.

Following Parker’s interim leadership of GBC in recent months, Koss will focus on strengthening client relationships and leveraging Aon’s venture capital capabilities. This includes expanding Aon’s client treaty as the company continues to grow its technical and specialist capabilities.

Koss has over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, having worked in South Africa, Singapore and the UK. She rejoined Aon in 2011 and has held several senior positions, most recently as Head of Commercial Risk for Aon in the Asia Pacific region.

Koss’ career includes positions as an underwriter at Novae from January 2008 to December 2011 and a financial lines underwriter at AXIS Capital from April 2006 to January 2008. She also served as a director at Aon Risk Solutions from 2002 to 2006, and a co-founder managing the general agent at Aon Risk Solutions. Antares MGA in South Africa from 2000 to 2002.

Coss was Director of Financial Lines at AIG from 1997 to 2000 and a Director at Glenrand MIB from 1995 to 1997. She holds a BCom (Hons) in Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and a BA in Literature from the Open University.

Pizer also expressed his gratitude to Parker for his leadership, noting his successful career spanning more than three decades in the industry.
