Chubb LLC announced the appointment of David Lupica, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Distribution Officer of Westchester, as Vice President of Chubb Group and President of the Westchester Division.

In his new role, Lupica will oversee Chubb’s North American surplus and bulk lines business.

Lupica has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He joined Chubb (formerly ACE) in 2000 as executive vice president of ACE USA’s Professional Risk Division. He later served as president of ACE’s Commercial Risk Services Division and president of ACE Westchester’s Professional Lines Division.

In 2016, he was named Chief Operating Officer of Westchester. Prior to joining ACE, Lupica held management positions at Starr Excess Liability Company Inc., Alexander & Alexander (now Aon), and AIG. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Hobart College and William Smith College.

Lupica succeeds Scott Meyer, who was recently promoted to senior vice president of Chubb Group and chief operating officer of North America Insurance. Lupica will report to Meyer and Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of North America Insurance.
