Insurance-focused professional services and technology firm Davis is rebranding Afirm, the risk services company it acquired in 2023.

Afirm, a provider of premium audit and loss control services across personal and commercial lines in the United States and Canada, will assume the branding under its new owner. As part of the change, Mark DeWall (pictured left) and Stephen White (pictured right) have also taken on new roles.

Now the distinguished audit leader is deWaal, who will oversee distinguished audit services and assume responsibility for the Davis office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a senior director. A member of Davis’s senior leadership team, he joined the distinguished audit practice in 1992.

Meanwhile, White was promoted to head of loss control. He will be responsible for field services as part of Davis’ residential and commercial loss control inspections while leading the Fort Collins, Colorado office. With Davis since May 2007, White has over 16 years of experience in the industry.

Both Dewal and White will report to Jose Bridges, Head of Risk Services at Davis.

Commenting on the appointments, Bridges said: “The successful acquisition of Afirm has helped strengthen Davies’ portfolio within risk services, allowing us to expand our North American offering to include all 50 states and Canada.

“Following the rebrand from Afirm to Davies and the successful integration, I am confident that Stephen and Mark’s leadership will enhance our outstanding audit and loss control processes for our clients, as we continue to prioritize providing excellent customer service and high-quality services to our clients, both personal and commercial lines.”
