Davies, the UK-based professional services and technology company serving the insurance industry, has promoted Dara Patel to president and executive vice president, North America.

The promotion coincides with the implementation of a new market strategy under the leadership of North America CEO Matt Bouton, reflecting the significant expansion that Davis has seen, with US dollar revenues now accounting for half of the company’s global income.

Patel, who joined Davis in 2023 following the acquisition of ACM, USIS, PGCS and ICA, has two decades of experience in insurance and professional services. Her career includes senior executive roles such as President of Services at Brown & Brown, where she oversaw strategic growth and service delivery, and most recently as CEO of Specialty Programs at Davis.

In her new role, Patel will oversee Davis’ operations and sales teams across the U.S. and Canada, with the goal of strengthening the company’s service offerings in the region. She will report directly to Patton, and the new structure will take effect August 1.

Battelle’s leadership team will include Peter Lucas as Chief Insurance and Risk Officer, Ken Scott as Senior Vice President, Growth and Account Management, and Don Lederer as the new CEO of Davies’ expanded Claims Solutions unit following the integration of the Claims Solutions and Specialty Software businesses.

Last November, Davis expanded its claims business in North America by acquiring four claims and services businesses from Brown & Brown. In February 2024, it acquired Matson, Driscoll & D’Amico to add forensic accounting to its capabilities.
