Liberty Company Insurance Brokers has added Katie Pope, Esq. (Pictured) and Peter Barsky to its list as vice-presidents. Bob will join the Board of Directors as Vice President of Executive Lines, while Barsky will serve as Leader of the Small Business Practice.

Bob’s extensive background in insurance, with a strong focus on cyber coverage, began at Lockton. She brings privacy coverage experience to Liberty where the VP of New Executive Lines will support producers with complex placements. Its remit will also include prospecting and requests for proposals.

“I am excited to join Liberty Company because of its renowned entrepreneurial spirit,” Bob commented. “This environment provides the opportunity to innovate in the insurance industry and craft solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

“It’s exciting to be part of a team that values forward-thinking and proactive problem-solving.”

Meanwhile, Barsky said, “What attracted me to Liberty was the clear sense of embracing entrepreneurship coupled with a strong culture of service and collaboration. It is an environment where innovation thrives, and I am thrilled to be part of a team that shares my passion for making a meaningful impact.”

With more than 20 years in the insurance industry, Barsky will be an integral part of the Small Business division. He will work closely with Liberty partners, producers, relationship managers and account managers to help increase sales and revenue, improve operations and strengthen relationships with carriers.

Barsky’s career began in customer service and evolved as he held various roles, including leading call centers and working as a claims adjuster and marketing representative for national insurance companies.

The two appointments are the latest in a series of new hires at Liberty. Newcomers include VP Commercial Lines Jeff Schmidt and SVP Benefits Neal Rubin.
