The appointment comes as part of Miller’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its European sports and entertainment offering, which was enhanced by the acquisition of Heiner Sport in 2022.

Miller’s Sports & Leisure division supports more than 50 clubs in football, basketball, rugby, cycling and handball, as well as more than 850 professional footballers in 30 countries. This includes 75% of the French national football and basketball teams.

Didier Loiseau, President of Miller Sports in Paris, expressed his confidence in Thevenot joining the team, citing his strong reputation in the market and long-standing professional relationship. Loiseau confirmed that Thevenot will contribute to the continued growth of Miller Sports and Entertainment’s offerings in Europe.

Thévenot also commented on his new role, emphasizing his admiration for the passion that Didier and his team have for their clients, which has been the driving force behind the team’s successful expansion over the years. He expressed his eagerness to contribute to the growth of one of the market-leading teams.

In other recent developments, Miller also announced the appointment of Edward Cheek as Head of Credit and Political Risk Insurance in Asia.

Cheek will be based in Miller’s Singapore office, working closely with Benjamin Gibbons, Head of CPRI in London, and the wider CPRI team to expand Miller’s services beyond London and Europe into Asia.
