Kevin King (pictured) has taken over as CEO of mutual insurance company TT Club.

King’s move completes the succession plan announced by the transportation and logistics insurer in 2023. Having served as executive vice president under Charles Fenton for the past year, King assumed his new responsibilities on August 1 following a smooth handover period.

The new CEO has held various leadership positions in companies managed by Thomas Miller. In 2015, he moved to London from the US to oversee TT Club’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer.

His predecessor commented: “Kevin is well placed to lead TT into a challenging future. His extensive experience in the mutual insurance model, his vision for harnessing new technologies, and his strong management skills will ensure that TT continues to evolve in line with global transport developments and the dynamic insurance market.

“The TT Board and I have every confidence in his leadership abilities, and I welcome him to his new role.”

Meanwhile, Fenton will continue to be involved in TT. The chairman of Thomas Miller Holdings remains a member of the TT board and will continue to promote the insurance company internationally.

For his part, King expressed his eagerness to help Toronto Tech move into the next phase of its 56-year journey.

“It has been a pleasure to work for an organisation with a purpose, and now to lead it,” he said. “The club’s mission to make the global transport and logistics industry safer, more secure and more sustainable drives everything we do.

“We are well positioned financially and technologically, especially with our established expertise around the world, to succeed as an insurance company and a positive force for change in the industry. I am grateful to Charles for his guidance and leadership throughout my career, and thank him for staying close to the business.”
