RT Specialty, the wholesale insurance distributor of Ryan Specialty, has promoted Jason Lentz (pictured) to head of the RT Specialty High Net Worth National Personal Lines practice.

In his new role, Lentz will lead the continued growth of RT Specialty High Net Worth, which offers a broad range of personal lines products to retail agents and brokers.

Lentz’s promotion comes on the heels of a new business partnership between Ryan Specialty and Private Client Select Insurance Services (PCS). PCS, a general insurance company majority owned by American International Group and Stonepoint Capital, has appointed RT Specialty’s parent company as its exclusive broker in the U.S. high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth markets.

The new president of RT Specialty HNW has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with the past eight years dedicated to strengthening the wholesale broker’s personal lines practice. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Lentz is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Commenting on the promotion, RT Specialty Chairman and CEO Tim Turner said: “Jason has played a key role in building RT Specialty’s high-value personal lines offering. He has outstanding relationships across the industry and a deep understanding of the sector.

“As RT Specialty expands its role in the high net worth personal lines market, I am pleased to recognize Jason in his new role.”

Beyond Lentz’s new role, other changes at RT Specialty include an upcoming switch in division leadership.

Edward McCormack will succeed Turner, who will assume the role of CEO of Ryan Specialty in October while retaining his role as President of RT Specialty. Brenda (Ballard) Ostenfeld and Michael Van Acker will serve as Co-Presidents of RT Specialty.

“I am very excited about these well-deserved promotions,” Turner said in announcing the succession plan. “All of these individuals are proven strategic leaders, with over a decade of experience in senior positions within RT Specialty, and have excellent relationships with clients, insurance trading partners, the larger insurance industry and the entire RT Specialty team.”
