Amwins International Underwriting, the UK arm of global specialty products distributor Amwins, has announced the appointment of Keith Trivett (pictured) as Underwriting Manager for its Amplify portfolio solution.

The multi-category product suite, introduced in June 2023, is accessible exclusively through brokers affiliated with Amwins Global Risks and operates as an automated tracking facility led by Beazley’s Smart Tracker Syndicate 5623.

Simon Jackson, Managing Director of Amwins International Underwriting, expressed his enthusiasm about Trevett’s appointment: “We are delighted that Keith is joining Amplify.

“With his proven expertise in portfolio solutions, his appointment is an example of our commitment and desire to attract specialist underwriting talent to our London-based team. Keith will continue to build on Amplify’s underwriting offering and work to further expand our best-in-class tracking facility.”

Trivet brings extensive experience in portfolio solutions from a carrier and distributor perspective to a managing general agent. He previously worked at AXIS Capital, where he was responsible for portfolio solutions.

Commenting on his new role, Trevett said: “I am excited to find new ways to deliver energy across multiple business lines and enhance our distribution and access to energy. The wallet solutions market is evolving rapidly, and I look forward to Amplify playing a key role in this space.”

This appointment represents another significant step in the expansion of Amwins’ London underwriting team, following the appointment of Simon Jackson in November 2023 and the acquisition of a fund at Lloyd’s earlier this year.

In the United States, recent developments at Amwins include the merger of MGA’s Amwins Transportation & Insurance and National Truck Underwriting Managers to form Amwins National Transportation & Insurance.

“By combining these two respected brands, we can further drive impact on the industry through unparalleled market access and superior customer service,” said Ryan Armijo, Amwins’ chief underwriting officer, at the time.
