WTW has launched a dedicated FinTech and Digital Asset team designed to support clients in managing the complex risks associated with the digital asset ecosystem.

The brokerage giant, which has gained deep expertise in the fintech and digital assets sectors over the past decade, has formed a team that brings together global specialists across all lines of insurance.

“WTW has always been at the forefront of financial innovation and corresponding risk by addressing the evolving needs of our clients,” said Jeremy Wall, Head of Financial Risk, Professional and Executive at FINEX. “The creation of this task force is a strategic move to address the unique challenges posed by the fintech and digital asset ecosystems.”

The task force is led by Anthony Rappa, North America Fintech Subsector Leader, and Trenton Mackey, UK Fintech and Digital Assets Leader.

The team is primarily focused on developing customized insurance solutions that address the distinct risks of fintech and digital assets and leverage advanced analytics to help clients navigate the complexities of these risks.

Furthermore, the team will work to foster innovation by collaborating with business leaders, technology pioneers, venture capitalists and regulatory authorities, to ensure that WTW’s insurance and risk management solutions evolve alongside new developments in fintech.

In addition, the team was tasked with developing new insurance products in challenging areas such as physical infrastructure and generative AI.
