Zurich North America has appointed Aruruan “Arru” Sivasubramaniam (pictured) as President of Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) in the region.

Sivasubramaniam has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance industry, with extensive expertise across multiple sectors. Prior to his new role, he was Head of Mid-Market for the Netherlands and Belgium at Zurich Benelux.

Sivasubramaniam’s career with Zurich began in 2013 in the firm’s London office, after which he moved to Switzerland to manage financial lines pricing within commercial insurance. He later moved to the role of CFO for Zurich Benelux, where he played a key role in driving business transformation.

Going forward, Sivasubramaniam will focus on expanding Zurich’s risk management offering. His responsibilities will include developing and implementing key initiatives to establish Zurich as a trusted leader in risk prevention and management.

ZRS provides clients with risk insights and services designed to help companies reduce their exposure to risk and improve operational efficiency. As the unit leader for North America, Sivasubramaniam will report to Dirk De Nel, ZRS’ global president.

“Aro has the energy, focus and drive to deliver business results, seamlessly balancing technical expertise with commercial acumen,” commented De Nel. “With nearly two decades of retail, reinsurance and commercial insurance experience across diverse markets, Aro is well-qualified to lead Zurich Flexible Solutions in North America.”
